Sept. 13, 2026. French posted a photograph of fans at a University of Texas football game. He wrote that he had heard graduation looked like this, and that the problem was worse than anyone imagined. He asked how many Americans had been displaced by foreigners. Status 2099118916282810552.

The line against him

John Cornyn posted first among statewide Republicans. He called the post intolerance and racism and asked whether other Republican electeds would condemn it. They did, in public, within hours.

Sept. 18, 2026, the Texas Tribune recorded the sequel. Leach said he was still voting for French. Burrows said the same. Cornyn said he would not. Karl Rove said he would not. Abbott, Patrick, and Cruz still had no public condemn. That is the uniparty pattern: a public scolding, then the same ballot line.
